October 9, 2016 –
Looking for a fun and rewarding volunteer experience?
A Silver Lining Foundation will again have a volunteer team serving water and Gatorade to the 40,000 runners in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. On Sunday, October 9, you'll be right in the middle of all the action at Aid Station 09 at the corner of Franklin and Washington Streets in the Loop. After an early morning arrival at 6:00am, you will assist in setup, then hand cups of water and Gatorade to race participants as they pass by. Volunteers also assist in cleanup, which should be done by noon.
This is our sixth year of participation with the Chicago Marathon Charity Program and we expect to provide 125 volunteers. A Silver Lining Foundation will receive a donation based on the number of volunteers we provide, so your participation will help provide a silver lining to those in need.
