You should already have an order for a screening mammogram from a healthcare professional prior to calling us. Most healthcare professionals suggest having a mammogram annually, so it isn't difficult to obtain the order. Once you're qualified, we'll mail you an instruction letter that will guide you through the process of scheduling your mammogram. Don't worry — once you receive your letter your mammogram is free. The report of the screening mammogram will go back to your healthcare professional who will contact you about the results.

1. What happens if I don't have a doctor or healthcare professional?

   ASLF will refer you to a health clinic in your neighborhood who will see you on a sliding fee scale.

2. What if I have absolutely no money at all?

   ASLF will endeavor to locate a healthcare professional to write your order and receive the results.

3. Can I get my mammogram at any hospital?

   No, ASLF works with specific hospital partners.

4. What happens if something is found on the screening mammogram?

   ASLF funds specific diagnostic tests at our full service hospital partners. Your health professional will write an order for the diagnostic testing which you will receive at no cost.

5. What happens if I have breast cancer?

   In the unlikely event that there is a diagnosis of cancer, our partner hospitals take over. Every attempt is made to enroll you in a state or federally funded program. And if that doesn't work - you will not be abandoned.
