End of Year Letter

Dear Friends:

In the United States a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every three minutes

What would you do if you found a lump in your breast? Most women you know, would pick up the phone, call their doctor and make an appointment for a mammogram. Now imagine a woman who has no insurance, who carries the fear of being tested, let alone a possible diagnosis. This woman has no hope or peace of mind, since her priorities revolve around �more important� factors like feeding her family.

Thus far in 2011 over 900 uninsured and underinsured women in the Chicagoland area have received information about and access to cost-free screenings and diagnostics through our �BUY A MOM A MAMMOGRAM�� program. And that is the tip of the iceberg�we are deluged daily with calls from women who have no other place to go. We need to double the number of silver linings in 2012, and for that I need your help.

For every $150.00 received A Silver Lining Foundation can give hope and peace of mind through this potentially lifesaving testing.

As 2011 draws to an end please accept our heartfelt gratitude for your support of A Silver Lining Foundation. Your generosity has been instrumental as the need for our services escalates. Lives have been eased through our outreach and quality of life programs and lives have certainly been saved through our Buy A Mom A MammogramTM program. It is with your continuing support we will be able to provide silver linings to those so desperately in need.

The words of my late mother are the cornerstone of our philosophy: �We are all family and we have to help each other through the tough times.� Times are tough, yet through your generosity her legacy lives on and I know she is smiling.
