Cancer Warning Signals

All adults should perform self-examinations of their breast, testicles and skin regularly. Mammograms, prostate exams and colorectal cancer screenings are also important. Be alert to changes in your body that could spell cancer such as:

  • Change in bladder or bowel habits
  • Sore that doesn't heal
  • Unusual bleeding or discharge from any place
  • Thickening or lump in breast or other parts of body
  • Chronic indigestion or problems swallowing
  • Obvious change in a wart or mole
  • Nagging cough or hoarseness
